Upper Mustang

Mustang can be defined as the Himalayan Kingdom behind the mountains. It consists of two distinct regions i.e. southern and northern part where the culture, language and the tradition are like to those Tibetan people. This region has the spectacular view of the beautiful desert landscapes, monasteries, multi-storied white wash houses, crumbling castles and so on. Cave hoses located on the hills are also the main attraction of this region. The houses and temples are mostly constructed by mud, stones, mud-bricks and the locally available materials. The trek to Lo-Manthang is through the high altitude desert country and the gorge in which the Kali Gandaki river flows is the deepest gorge in the world. An best example of the isolated place with the great natural potential.
