Ghale Gaun (Lamjung)

Ghale Gaun can be defined as the most beautiful village of Nepal located in the Lamgung District. This village has introduced the new concept of the Village Tourism. Here is the mostly settlements of the Gurung ethnicity and is famous for it's rivers, mountains, forests, streams, waterfalls and so on. Here, we can enjoy the views of different mountain ranges such as Mount Manaslu, Machhapucchre and Mount Annapurna. Midim and Khudi are the rivers flowing along the village with beautiful rhododendrons and chirping sounds of birds in the forests. We can experience the warm hospitaliy and the culture of the gurung people's in this beautiful village. Road transportation is available and is linked to this village.

Tilicho lake (Manang)

Tilicho lake is the lake situated in the highest altitude i.e. 5000 meters fro the sea level and is the area of rough and wild beauty. This lake is mentioned as the holy lake by the Hindus pilgrims as one event in the holy epic called Ramayan is said to be held in this lake thousands of year ago. This is not a prohibited area but is difficult for it's visitors to reach there due to it's remoteness and the harsh climatic conditions and the altitude. It is a glacier lake offering a spectacular view which helps to  refresh our body, mind and the soul.

Manang

Manang district is the part of the Gandaki Zone. The district, with Chame it's headquarters covers an area of 2,246 km². The pass of Thorung La at 5415 meters above the sea connects the district to the Mustang District and provides the routes to the towns of Manang and the Muktinath shrine which is a great potential for the trekkers. Manang District lies in Nepal-Tibet border and rich in it's natural flora and fauna with it's local residents. People residing in Manang are called Manangies. Lamas, Newars, Marwaris are the main residents of Manang District. Animal rearing, tourism industry, medicinal herbs supplies are the basic occupation of the people residing here. Manang is the starting points for the three treks i.e. the first, via Thorangla, Muktinath, and Mustang to Lhasa,2nd Naur Khola and Naurgaon and the last Larkiya bazar. The Northern part of Manang District is cold, dry and the isolated places.

Muktinath Temple

The famous temple among the Hindus lies in the district of Mustang at an altitude of 3749 meters. It is about 48 kilometers from Jomsom. This temple is situated on the high mountain range and is the oldest Hindu temple of the Lord Bishnu. This temple contains 108 dhungedhara (stone taps) and there is the belief that bathing in this 108 taps will get the pilgrims free from all the sins and natural gas fire makes the pilgrims more energetic and stronger. So, during the Janai Purnima festival, pilgrims gather here to pay homage to the Lord Muktinath. There is also a Buddhist monastery and a pagoda type temple dedicated to Jawla Mai (goddess of fire). So, this pure shrine is both for the Hindus and the Buddhist pilgrims.

Upper Mustang

Mustang can be defined as the Himalayan Kingdom behind the mountains. It consists of two distinct regions i.e. southern and northern part where the culture, language and the tradition are like to those Tibetan people. This region has the spectacular view of the beautiful desert landscapes, monasteries, multi-storied white wash houses, crumbling castles and so on. Cave hoses located on the hills are also the main attraction of this region. The houses and temples are mostly constructed by mud, stones, mud-bricks and the locally available materials. The trek to Lo-Manthang is through the high altitude desert country and the gorge in which the Kali Gandaki river flows is the deepest gorge in the world. An best example of the isolated place with the great natural potential.
