World Peace Pagoda (Pokhara)


The brilliant-white World Peace Pagoda is just above the fewa lake balanced on a narrow ridge. It's at the altitude of 1250 meters. This was constructed by the Buddhists monks from the Japanese Nipponzan Myohoji organization. As, located in the great height we can view the entire Annapurna range and the view of the Pokhara valley itself. Here, we can go by walking or through driving.  Similarly, we can go there by just crossing the fewa lake and just a hour of walk throughout the jumgle. In this pagoda, there are four statues of the Lord Buddha in the various position reflecting the world peace and is donated by the various countries. Reaching the place we can feel the fresh air of peace and the harmony which helps to refresh our body, mind and the soul. It is standing as the shrine reflecting the world peace and the harmony.

Fewa Lake (Pokhara)

Fewa lake is freshwater lake and is one of the best tourist destinations of Pokhara. It is the second largest lake in Nepal. The lake is atream-fed but the dam regulates the water reserve. The average water depth is about 8.6m and the maximum water depth is about 24m respectively. At one side of the lake, we can get the various recreational facilities such as hotels, resorts, cafes, bars and so on. Whereas, in the lake we can do boating, fishing, swimming, sailing, kayaking, bird watching and enjoy the nature. In the middle of the lake there is one temple named Taal Barahi which is the shrine for the local people and the visitors. We can also view the reflection of the Mount Macchapucchre Range in the calm and fresh water of the lake. Here various species of fish are conserved and we can see the various aquatic vegetation in it. The people residing in this areas are involved in the various tourism business to provide the facilities to the visitors.

Pokhara

Pokhara can be defined as the part of the heaven located in the earth. It the city with the high hills, mountains, fast flowing rivers, forests and is rich in it's other natural resources too. Pokhara can be one of the best destination for spending the holidays.It is the best place or the base for the trekking such as trekking to Mount Annapurna region which is quiet amazing. The majority of population residing in Pokhara are Brahmins, Chettris, Gurung, Magars, Newars, Rai, Thakali and others. It is the city of the lakes too. The famous lakes are Fewa, Begnas and so on. Apart from it's natural beauty, Pokhara is rich in it's cultural aspect as it has the cultural diversity reflecting the people's lifestyle, habitats, living standards and so on. Pokhara is accessible through both airways and roadways. There are regular flights from Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu making the destination reachable in 20 minutes from the capital city, Kathmandu or a 6 hours drive from the roadways. So, the places of the pokhara with it's great potential can be highlighted as given.

Lumbini

Birth Place of Lord Buddha (Lumbini)

Lumbini is the holy and the historical place of Nepal as it is the birth Place of Lord Buddha. He was born as the crown prince Siddharth Gautam to Shakya King Suddhodana and Queen Maya Devi. As he was fully facilitated and he even don't know about pain, sorrows, illness, poverty, death and so on in his childhood. One day when was visiting out of the palace, he saw all that reality and wanted to know what the life is. So, one day he left the palace in search of the enlightenment at the age of 29 leaving his family members and all the facilities of the palace.So, after a long meditation he achieved Nirvana under a tree in Bodh Gaya and explored the meaning of the life. Thus, after this achievement he spread his message to the world and to stay in a peace and harmony and then onwards know as the Lord Buddha and spread Buddhism all around the world.


 So, this place with the evidence of the great personality Lord Buddha is located in the small town of Terai region. The main tourist attraction of Lumbini are Maya Devi Temple, Pushkarani (a holy pool) and the Tibetan monastery. Here we can know about the childhood, life-style and history of the Lord Buddha here as the Crown Prince Siddharth Gautam. Mostly people come here with the great religious influence and faith towards the Lord Buddha. Here, people come to celebrate Buddha Purnima as is the great festival of the Buddhists people remembering the great contributions of the Lord Buddha praying for the world peace. This place is accessible through flights and has the regular flights from Kathmandu. Similarly, Lumbini is connected by the roadways with Bhairahawa, Pokhara and kathmandu through Narayanghat.

Mount Everest


Mount Everest
Mount Everest (8,848 meters) is the highest peak in the world. It lies on the border between Nepal and Tibet. Here we can find various species of the birds and animals and the various natural vegetation conserved in the Sagarmatha National Park. It is located in the Solukhunbu district and is approachable through trekking and  flights which take-offs from Kathmandu. Solukhumbu district can be defined as the gate-way to the Mount Everest.
This place is famous as mostly people come here to kiss the summit of the highest peak of the world and to experience the thrill in their life. Here the climatic condition is dynamic in nature and snow falls frequently. Namchebazar is the small town which is located in this Solukhumbu district is fully facilitated with the services to be provided to the visitors with hotels, lodges and so on. Sherpas are the main residents of this district. Here we can observe the Sherpa culture, famous tengboche Monastery and enjoy the adventure holidays in this areas by doing trekking to Everest Base Camp, Everest View Treck, Island Peak Climbing and so on.

Short Description of Nepal


Nepal is a small and beautiful landlocked country rich in it's culture, natural beauties, people, places and so on. It is between the two big countries India and China. It's total area is 1,47,181 square kilometers. It can be called as the roof of the world as the highest peak Mount Everest (Sagarmatha) is in this country reflecting it's glory.
