International Mountain Museum (Pokhara)

This International Mountain Museum is a museum which is devoted to the Himalayan culture, Mountaineers and all the aspect related to the mountaineering. It was established and opened in the year 2002. It is just after the Himalayan Eye Hospital. Here we can learn about the cultural and the living standards of the Himalayan people. Various tools, equipments, information related to the mountaineering are here exhibited in this museum. Various fossils, sediments, rocks, The Tale of Yeti are also reflected here. Buddhism is also reflected here by making the sample of the Buddhist monastery inside the museum. The area of the museum is big enough and various parks and a sample of mountain is established here inside the boundary and here we can do rock climbing too. Ramps are also made to the visitors who are on the way with their wheel chair and wheel chair are also provided on the request. Here inside the museum we have got various sections and in each section we can know different facts related to the mountaineering and the culture of the Himalayas.
